  • To ensure the integrity of Halal processing by continuously and consistently monitoring the compliance to the Syariah (Islamic Law).
  • To ensure compliance to all guidelines issued by Malaysian authorities such as Halal Assurance Management System of Malaysia Halal Certification by Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) and Jabatan Agama Islam Melaka (JAIM).
  • Responsible for halal certification for company and products related to company.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining the Halal Assurance System, Quality standards and procedures to meet the company’s Halal and Quality Objectives.
  • Attend to internal and external complaints relating to halal integrity issues.
  • To responsible and liaise with JAKIM and Jabatan Agama Islam Negeri (JAIN) on halal related matters.
  • Liaise with Purchasing Department to verify product compliance with specifications.
  • Liaise with related departments such as R&D, QA, Export and Production department to verify any new product, formulation on raw material changes, or any related halal issue.
  • Conduct Halal and GMP training to all production workers.
  • Able to multi task with minimum supervision and able to meet the deadline.
  • Possess a Degree/Diploma in Food Technology and Certified Halal Executive by Halal Professional Board.
  • At least 3 years proven working experience in similar capacity in manufacturing sector preferably in food industry.
  • Familiar with Halal Assurance System and able to execute with minimum supervision.
  • Familiar with food safety regulations (FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, ISO 9001, HACCP & HALAL).
  • Familiarity with industry practices and standards.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate and good report writing skills.
  • Able to start work immediately.


  • To plan and execute R & D projects such as new product development and existing products improvement.
  • To liaise with suppliers and purchaser for sourcing and screening for raw materials.
  • Conduct lab and pilot trial to prepare samples of new projects.
  • Perform sensory and quality evaluation on raw materials and finished products.
  • To record results and prepare reports on sensory, trial run and other R & D activities.
  • Perform checking on specification and regulatory compliance of food products on different countries.
  • Work closely with QA regarding product safety and compliance issues.
  • Prepare information for artwork labelling and ensure compliance to countries legislation.
  • To ensure compliance of R & D activities according to company policies SOP, food safety standards (FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, ISO 9001, HACCP, GMP, JAKIM, MUI and OSH) requirements.
  • To coordinate with other departments on certain development projects.
  • To prepare mock samples if required.
  • To perform any tasks as assigned by Superior.
  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or other relevant discipline is required.
  • At least 1 or 2 years of R&D experience involving snack food and confectionery products from either a major snack food and confectionery player or an ingredients/flavor manufacturer.
  • Possess positive attitude, creative & innovative, able to take challenges and independent.
  • Able to communicate effectively and possess basic computer knowledge.


  • Supporting the Senior Accountant in the company.
  • Responsible for day to day accounting activities
  • Experience in handling full sets of account including accounts payable.
  • Liaise with internal & external auditors, tax agents, suppliers and other related parties.

  • Responsible for the overall plant management effectiveness.

  • Ensure continuous improvement in all areas of operations and optimize production capacity.
  • Implement the QMS based on ISO 9001, ISO 22000 and HACCP and/or any other standard or system.
  • Develop and oversee plans and programs to ensure the optimum utilization of available equipment, space, facility and human resource necessary to attain manufacturing objectives.
  • Assure minimal back order status and adequate service levels through close liaison among marketing, production, store and materials personnel.
  • Assure maintenance of product quality through vigilant administration of high manufacturing standard, employee awareness and training programs, adherence to high level of housekeeping standards etc.
  • Assure competency and continuity of managerial and specialized personnel are fully capable of achieving management and manufacturing objectives through training and motivation.
  • Provide positive employee relations to ensure the achievement of productivity objectives and maintenance of high morale at all levels within the workforce.

  • Responsible to be in charge of foreign workers’ hostel.
  • Preparing foreign workers accommodation including arranging and installing basic necessities.
  • To monitor overall movement of hostel and seeks to maintain the fair and safe operation at all times.
  • To do inspections of the hostel facilities and accommodation and fill in checklist identifying any hostel damages and repaired required.
  • Patrolling and doing day to day spot check and reporting any disciplinary issue and misbehaviours.
  • To update hostel items and facilities inventory record.
  • To attend to any emergency case happens at hostel or workplace during morning or night time.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in handling foreign workers.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English and Bahasa Melayu.

  • Responsible to handle foreign workers affairs (e.g. hostel’s management, work permit renewal, passport renewal, foreign workers’ welfare and discipline).
  • To in charge of recruitment activities (sourcing, screening resumes, scheduling interviews and etc.)
  • In charge of monitoring and keeping records on Insurance Policy matters including the issuance of cover notes for new vehicles and renewal of policies.
  • Responsible for the renewal of road tax, inspection and insurance of all company vehicles.
  • Responsible for the arrangement of payment of quit rents and assessment for all properties of the company including monitoring and maintaining those records.
  • Liaising with all Government Departments in the matter of application and renewal of certificates annually and periodically (e.g. JKKP, DOE, KPDN, SPAD & etc).

  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Studies Management or equivalent.

Creating space has improved my relationship

First, I gained some real value from the program—mostly it was in helping me become unstuck in a few key areas. Like you said, it seemed almost like magic. I didn’t push anything or struggle, rather I just eased up and changed my viewpoint and then things shifted. For example, for a long time I’ve been bothered by all the clutter my very sweet and dear husband leaves around the house. I just accepted it as my lot in life to constantly need to move this stuff around as I need an orderly environment (my #1 emotional need as it turns out) and he doesn’t. But over the past nine weeks I realized that I was being proprietary about our space. Most all the space in the house is taken up with my stuff. We had very few places where his stuff could live, and no permanent home equalled constant clutter.

This summer we eliminated a guest room and turned it into an office for my husband. He treated himself to a new computer with huge monitor and killer sound system, and even though it is not yet furnished, he is enjoying spending time there and viola, we have a place for a lot of his stuff. It wasn’t hard to do this and we are both much happier on this issue as a result. Also now in general I am more open to moving things around or even stowing my stuff in the basement if he feels he needs more space. I just don’t feel as attached to it as I always have.

There’s a saying that it is pure folly to try to change another person, the only person you can change is yourself, and I discovered through the class that as I just quietly changed myself it caused people around me to follow my example, which was really neat too. And you’re right, men respond really well to declarative sentences vs. questions. I am doing that now with great results.
